Harry Chapin Food Bank rescues food and distributes it through our programs: Care and Share: Senior Feeding Program, Harry’s Helpings, Fulfill Mobile Pantries, In-School Pantries and our Partner Agency Program, which is a network of more than 150 partner agencies to feed people in need in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties.

About the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation was created in 2004 by Best Buy founder, Dick Schulze, to give back to the communities where Dick and his family grew up — in Minnesota, where he built Best Buy to become the world’s largest consumer electronics retailer and in Florida, where he now maintains a permanent residence. Schulze and his family believe that a good education, a supportive family and a strong work ethic prepare children for a successful future. To support that belief, the foundation supports organizations operating in the areas of human & social serviceseducation, including college and early learning scholarship awards and health & medicine.

About Harry Chapin Food Bank

Harry Chapin Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, is the largest hunger-relief organization in Southwest Florida. Through our programs, we feed roughly 28,000 people each week.

For every dollar donated, the food bank can provide $8 in food value. Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed $42.8 million worth of food in fiscal year 2019. Through our programs, we supplied nearly 26.7 million pounds of food and other grocery items, including 6.4 million pounds of fresh produce. The food is the equivalent of 22.2 million meals for people in need.

Our membership with Feeding America enables us to amplify our food and distribution efforts and bring in food from various retail and grocery stores, national food producers and distributors and growers locally, nationally and even internationally.

Harry Chapin Food Bank is proud to be named a Blueprint Partner by the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF), the founding organization of the Naples Winter Wine Festival. Harry Chapin Food Bank is also a United Way partner agency. For more information or to make gift, call 239.334.7007 or visit harrychapinfoodbank.org.
